I have a special place in my heart for hair bows. Growing up in the 80's hair bows were a common sight. (Thanks, Madonna!)

My sister had dozens. Over half were clip on bows, which was fabulous for a short-haired boy like me at the time. Whenever I would play dress-up I would find a matching bow and clip it onto my hair.

My favorite was a white satin bow that had faux pearls dangling down in several short streamers. I loved the weight of it, how the the pearls dangled along my head, and how they quietly clicked and clacked as I moved. That bow made me feel pretty and girlish.

In the early 90's, hair bows were not as popular, but were still used.

My first wife used to love forcing me to wear one of her hair bows as punishment in our games. Usually as a forfeit from a bet, or an additional punishment if I welched on a part of a bet.

One of her favorite games was to have me wear a bow when went out to the mall, or a movie. Sometimes I had clip on earrings, or maybe some light makeup, or painted fingernails. The embarrassment was exquisite, and while I did suffer verbal slings and arrows, she took great pleasure in looking at the offenders, saying "Oh, yeah?" and then passionately making out with me in response to my being called names like sissy, faggot, queer, or the like.

And my first wife was really hot then. She was an island girl, from St. Croix ... olive skinned, buxom, dark hair, sexy brown eyes, very sensual.

Yeah, it was good times, back then. /sigh
